Why is dance so expensive?

Depending on how many classes your dancer is in, fees can start to add up. Just like any other sport, dancers are required to have certain items for their class. This can be compared to a uniform. Aside from that, there are all of the other fees listed above. Contrary to popular belief, dance is a sport. It requires a lot of time, practice and dedication. Fundraisers are done throughout the season to help offset some of the costs. Costumes are selected by the teachers and charged according to the costume company. Recital is the icing on the cake for the dancers to showcase what they’ve been working so hard on throughout the season. A lot goes into our shows therefore we have to charge accordingly. Students are not required to participate in recital. Parents can opt their dancer out of recital if you choose.
